Microsoft Access
It seems the only organisation in the Leeds area to offer Microsoft Access programming and support in the whole of Leeds is 100222 . There seems to be lots of training companies all offering seemingly very established (thats to say they have been written for some time and really need refreshing) training courses which offer students some grasp of the topic.
Elsewhere - that means London - there is a shortage of skills!
VBA in Microsoft Excel
A recent problem from a very good friend and trainer highlights an area which I had not examined in great detail - using VB is the Microsoft Office products. My good friend is an excellent trainer of end users - I usually regard him as 'the last word' on Word and Excel. Anyway the need for some otherwise complex analysis arose and left him wondering..... fortunately about an hour later I had a small bit of code prepared which does the job. I had always thought that having 10,000 lines of data meant you should be using a database - but this was the export from an existing and proprietry database.
.. mmm, is there a market here ?
